DJ TR!P
“People will be dropping this guy’s name before too long, because DJ TR!P is the next eccentric genius of electronic music.” - Liquid Space Media
DJ TR!P is an award winning producer, composer and performer of electronic music. Over the past 10 years he has built an impressive repertoire of live compositions both for his club sets as well as for a variety of high profile contemporary theatre and dance productions. His latest project, Ultracade, recently premiered at the Brisbane Powerhouse.
DJ TR!P’s melancholy yet beautiful, gritty and grimy signature palette are due to his unique use of obsolete 8-bit computers and video game consoles & his extensive treatment of audio from numerous session musicians. His genre & style shifts effortlessly with each project and collaboration. His music has been released on various independent labels in Australia and internationally.
DJ TR!P had a strong relationship with choreographer Tanja Liedtke, composing for many of her projects including Enter Twilight (Tasdance), the award-winning Twelfth Floor and Construct.
