“Bizarre, macabre, hilarious”.
Hilary Crampton, The Age
Disagreeable Object is a boutique performance that allows audiences to immerse themselves within a dark, curious little world. Replete with images that evoke the beauty and heightened emotions of silent films, this bizarre and beautiful work sees Heaven in an unforgettable ‘pea de deux’ with Brian Lucas. The performer’s opposing physicalities create a tension that is both harmonious and disagreeable all at once.

Disagreeable Object is an anti-romantic, comic tale of obsession and malice. The work features a beautiful, original sound score by renowned composer/musician Bill McDonald, and stunning design by Ben Cobham (Bluebottle).

“This strange and macabre piece of dance theatre is meticulously crafted, engagingly performed and as delicious as the object of the two performers’ maniacal obsession: the seemingly innocuous green pea”.
