Arts Event Management

Insite Arts has a sophisticated understanding and knowledge of managing projects of all scales.

Site Specific Arts Events

Insite Arts has created new arts events that respond to a specific site, idea or client brief from small to very large scale. We also commission collaborative projects and deliver festivals and events for national and international arts festivals and for local government. We specialise in incorporating broader stakeholder demands and servicing all aspects of the community (including public, business, sponsors, governments and key stakeholders).

To us, public space provides a place to bring creative inspiration into the direct eye-line of a community. Presenting work in the public arena invites a dialogue amongst strangers, allowing them to become a part of the ‘bigger picture’ and to engage differently within familiar spaces. Our work specialises in making public space a cultural contributor, an active participant in the community rather than a void or empty venue.

Insite Arts is uniquely placed to create and present mid to large scale, site specific works starting from concept and direction of new work through to development and collaboration with artists and curation and programming. We are highly skilled at building creative, outcome-based solutions that activate sites and build precinct profile through cultural inclusion. This includes a thorough understanding of the needs of retail or commercial business traders impacted on by major events. We can also provide advice on place-making for corporate, civic and public spaces and events. This may include precinct activation, opening events, city-wide engagement, cultural marketing and profiling. For an example of site-specific event, see Advent Calendar.

Community Events

Insite Arts directors have extensive experience in the delivery of community engagement arts projects. We bring a practical understanding of community cultural development processes, including considering impacts and legacy building as well as comprehensive evaluation and documentation.

Our services in this area range from consultancy in concept development and planning, to directly engaging with artists and a community towards development and delivery of community engagement projects for a specific event, festival or outcome. We employ a range of models to develop concepts and then engage professional artists (local and/or international) in the conceptual and creative development phases. Projects may engage a targeted community or a more general audience interest. Projects range from intimate and direct, to large scale iconic events affecting a city and its community and generating a long term legacy.

We have broad experience in programming multi-art form programs including performing arts and outdoor performance, visual arts, music and festivals, incorporating traders stalls, parades and community celebrations. For an example of community event, see Sand Song.
