Kate Hancock is an Executive Producer at Insite Arts with over 15 years of experience in the performing arts industry within Australia and the UK. She has particular interesting in the delivery of large-scale events.
Biography
Kate Hancock is currently an Executive Producer at Insite Arts where she assists in the delivery of large-scale events including Mona Foma (Tasmania) and Unsound Adelaide, alongside providing support for Insite Arts’ stable of artists. In 2020 she managed the presentation of ‘King Ubu,’ the centrepiece of Mona Foma, in partnership with Terrapin Puppet Theatre (Hobart).
In 2016 Kate was part of Melbourne Theatre Company’s Women in Theatre program: a professional development program for future arts leaders. This opportunity was a result of a well-rounded career spanning: strategic development in her role as General Manager, Theatre Works (Melbourne); Operations Officer, Vanishing Point Theatre Company (Glasgow); Marketing Manager, Perth Theatre Company; and Program Manager, Barking Gecko Theatre Company (Perth).
In a freelance capacity, Kate has worked with independent producer Stephanie Brotchie to deliver seasons at Soho Theatre (London), Underbelly (Scotland) and as a producer to multi-art performer Joseph O’Farrell (JOF) who creates large scale installations and theatre works with and for communities.
Kate works out of Insite's Melbourne/Naarm based offices on the Wurundjeri and Boon Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation.
