Lee is a founding Director of Insite Arts and has founded and produced various festival events (including Mona Foma in Hobart and Launceston), as well as an ongoing program of projects with and by Australian independent artists across art-forms with Insite Arts.
Biography
Lee is a founding Director of Insite Arts, a Director of in. Studio + Cafe, Director of Arts Projects Australia and a co-Founder and Creative Director of Illuminate Adelaide.
With Insite Arts Lee has founded and produced events such as: Mona Foma in Hobart and Launceston (2009-2021) – winner of the Helpmann Award for Best Contemporary Music Festival in 2012, 2017, 2018 and 2019; Unsound Adelaide in 2017 and 2018; the Gala Re-Opening Concert for Hamer Hall at Arts Centre Melbourne in 2012; the opening of Mona in 2011; and the World Theatre Festival with Brisbane Powerhouse (2009 and 2010).
Lee and the other company directors and staff have also, for many years now, curated and produced an ongoing program of projects with and by Australian independent artists across art-forms. This work has resulted in an unprecedented number of presentation outcomes across Australia and the world since 2008, provides invaluable support for artists, and enables the widespread distribution of contemporary work.
Lee works out of Insite's Adelaide/Tarndanya offices on the land of the Kaurna people.
