What does it mean to be human? How much of our experience is shared and what is unique? These questions have been at the heart of songwriting since humans started composing music. Finding the answers and connecting to a shared human experience and identity has been big part of what has drawn us to music throughout time.
But as technology accelerates and the world becomes more connected, people are accessing new platforms for the first time to share experiences and create a sense self and belonging – two of which are social media and DNA profiling. This project explores new technologies and invites the audience to reflect, connect and engage in a dialogue around these ideas.
