Solastalgia explores patterns and textures that mimic or are influenced by occurrences in nature and have reflected on how all of these systems are being placed under strain (and in some places pushed to extinction) by human-exacerbated climate change.

 The word Solastalgia describes the grief of mourning the loss of a place that is changing in front of our eyes. The weight of this grief can reduce us to inaction and it is easy to believe we are helpless as individuals in our desire to impact positive change in the world, however small actions by multiple individuals can lead to societal change.
